Spring is here and that always gets me going on many different projects.
I'm a bit slow at work right now, so I have started on 5 portraits at once. I usually do one or so at a time and work in my sketchbook, but I thought I would see how fast I can get 5 16 x 20 Marker and colored pencil portraits done. This will allow me to see if I can take on any extra work around the holidays.
Make some extra cash.
It'll be a fight, but I'm really looking forward to it.
Other than that, it's just working in my sketchbook.
And for those who haven't seen it yet.
My boss has a laser engraver; iPhones, moleskins, laptops, wood, glass, if it has a surface and is smaller than PC, he can put whatever you want on it.
I'm working on this and a few odd commitments to letter and draw. I've always got things I could be doing, but after I get home and eat, then feed and bathe the kids and put them to bed, I don't have a lot of time.
Here's some things I'd LIKE to do or SHOULD be doing.
Project: Gemini #2
Rework Project: Gemini #1
Finish 700 Robots
Faerie drawing for a friend
Teddy bear kids book drawings for a client
ASJ41 pencils and letters
Tournament brawl drawing for PJ
Flushmount wedding album
More robot world leaders
I just wish I could work less or make decent money freelancing.
I really envy all'a you talented folks... just to be able to pick up a pencil and create such awesome things. Every line for me is a struggle, hehe.
As far as projects are concerned, I'm helping a buddy of mine (re)start up his small-press company... which, I believe will be looking for creators soon (hint hint).
Anyhoo... that's about it... though, I wish I were doing more drawing and writing. Then again, the 2008 ScriptFrenzy starts up Tuesday... so I'll be covered for "writing".
